The tongue is a resilient organ that can heal itself fairly quickly, However it is very delicate and sensitive to certain foods and chemicals. The tongues that you see here have not been burned, this is not tongue cancer, or oral thrush.
This can either come from an allergic reaction to certain foods, (mainly those with pesticides, chemicals, additives, and/or preservatives). This can also be caused by a vitamin deficiency. Either way this can cause pain and soreness. When this happens there are a couple of things you can do for natural treatment to relieve the pain; as well as, prevention prevention.
- One way of pain relief is to, use a mixture of peroxide and water as a rinse.
- Another way is to use 2-4 whole dried cloves twigs. Just put them in your mouth and move them around for about 5-10 mins as if you would a candy. This may sting a little only because cloves has antiseptic properties, but it will heal and mildly numb the tongue from pain. you may reapply at anytime.
- You can make a rinse, using cloves. Just use 1 tbsp of whole cloves to one cup of purified water, Put them in a tea kettle and simmer for about 5-10 min. let it cool for a while. then rinse mouth. This alternative is good. (But, whole cloves on the tongue works best).

- Eat Organic Foods, If not organic, try washing fruits and vegetables with a food grade chemical/pesticide remover or Apple cider vinegar and water.
